Common Cause of Communication Failure Error on a C-arm

If you're seeing a Communication Failure Error on your C-arm displayed either on your Control Panel or on your Left-hand monitor on the work station, it's probably due the voltage. Your next step is to check the power supply.

How to Check Your C-arm's Power Supply

Move to the side of the C-arm to check the Power Supply.

That's going to be feeding five volts across and to the top of our doghouse. Next, remove your cover.

Then check the two test points (A and B) to check for five volts.

If you need to make an adjustment of your five volts, there's a turnpot you can test here.

Once you've adjusted the turnpots to five volts at our test points, you can reboot your system and see if the error goes away. If it doesn't, reach out to us!
